Corinthians secured the Copa Libertadores women's soccer title with a 1-0 win over Palmeiras on Saturday night (Oct. 21) at the Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium in Cali, Colombia. This marks the fourth continental championship for Corinthians, who previously claimed victory in 2017 (in partnership with Audax), 2019, and 2021.
This was the second all-Brazilian final in the history of the women's Libertadores. Corinthians also won their second continental title in 2019, defeating Ferroviária 2-0 in the final in Ecuador.
Corinthians had an opportunity to take the lead in the 16th minute when Vic Albuquerque took a penalty, but it struck the post. Thirteen minutes later, Millene's goal sealed the team’s victory.
